Rund ein Jahr nach der Veröffentlichung des Albums „Niemals genug“ und erfolgreichen

Konzerten quer durch Deutschland legt das Duo THE CALM GREY (Rio Black und Mirco

Rappsilber) eine neue Single vor, die auf das 2026 erscheinende neue Mini-Album „IN

BEWEEN SADNESS“ vorbereitet. Der Postpunk/Darkwave-Sound mit waviger Gitarre,

flächigen Synths und melancholischem Gesang ist im Großen und Ganzen geblieben. Der

Beat ist treibend und der Mix kraftvoll, so dass „Leaving The Flat“ trotz der sehr persönlichen

Thematik in Clubs und live auf der Bühne für Bewegung bei den Hörern sorgen wird. Von

den zuvor teilweise noch deutlich rauszuhörenden Vorbildern lösen THE CALM GREY sich,

ohne aber stilistisch völlig andere Wege einzuschlagen – etwas mehr „indie“ statt „dark“ und

About a year after the release of the album ‘Niemals genug’ („Never enough“) and

successful liveshows across Germany, the duo THE CALM GREY (Rio Black and Mirco

Rappsilber) presents a new single that prepares for the new mini-album „IN BETWEEN

SADNESS“ to be released in 2026. The Postpunk/Darkwave-sound with new-wavy guitars,

floating synths and melancholic vocals has largely remained the same. The beat is driving

and the mix powerful, so that despite its very personal subject matter, „Leaving The Flat“ will

get listeners dancing in clubs and at live shows. THE CALM GREY are moving away from

their previously clearly audible influences, but without striking out in a completely different

stylistic direction – a little more „indie“ instead of „dark“ and overall simply more catchy

Wave-Punk with a heavy earworm factor.
