SALSA is one of the boldest and most unexpected songs Gothminister has ever released—a cinematic collision of industrial/gothic metal and authentic Latin salsa. Gothminister’s drummer also performs in a professional salsa band, opening the door to collaborations with real Latin musicians and experienced salsa dancers. The result is a genuine musical fusion.
The concept is “Salsa del fin del Mundo”—the soundtrack to the end of the world. Imagine the apocalypse erupting in the middle of a salsa party, where the only choice is Dance or Die. Dark humor, explosive energy, crushing guitars and infectious Latin rhythms collide in a way that feels both unexpected and surprisingly natural.
The accompanying music video was filmed in the spectacular Haubitz Hall on Odderøya in Kristiansand, Norway—an iconic venue near the former Quart Festival site. Its dramatic architecture provides the perfect backdrop for a world where gothic metal meets a burning Latin dance floor.
Lyrically, “SALSA” tells the story of two people dancing through the collapse of civilization. Instead of fear, they choose celebration. The recurring phrase “Salsa del fin del Mundo” becomes both a battle cry and a final dance before everything disappears.
Remaining true to Gothminister’s signature cinematic style, “SALSA” expands the band’s sonic universe while staying unmistakably Gothminister—dark, theatrical, melodic and larger than life. “SALSA” is taken from GOTHMINISTER`s 9th full length album, called “We are all Demons”, out October 16TH 2026.
